How I earn my living

Living without a fixed adress puts challenges to finding a job. While it doesn't make sense to live on the road while working at the same place every day it totally does make sense if you don't just work in one place. I found a pretty cool setup of jobs throughout the year that change in location and field alike. My most favorite job so far is changing large size advertisings in ski fields all across Switzerland. From mid October to X-mas day I'm on that. Beginning of March to end of April I usually rebuild tennis courts. As with the ads we work all over Switzerland. Begining of May I'm in charge of a part of the race track at the Bikedays mountainbike race in Solothurn. Over Summer I work on various Events like building obstacles for Rockandrun, setup waterslide for Slidemycity or build cablecars, teach skateboarding or mountainbiking for Gorilla.ch where I take over part of the logistics this summer. As an example I skipped on the tenniscourt building last spring because I started working as a tourguide in the Sultanate of Oman. Again I have to put a disclaimer here: This Setup I built for myself over many years. There were times I sat in my Van with no money for fuel or food and had to borrow money from friends or family to get through hard times. I repeat, this is no children's birthday. Once you have all the contacts, once you've proven to potential employers that you are willing and able and motivated to do a god job, finding work is less of a problem. This takes time and effort.
